CORMIX is seeking an International Business Development Manager to grow our CONTITE® crystalline waterproofing business across selected export markets.

This is more than an export sales or distributor-management role. You will be responsible for developing markets, strengthening distributor capability, creating project opportunities, and working with consultants, engineers and contractors to increase the specification and use of Cormix waterproofing systems internationally.

Our objective is to develop CONTITE® into a significantly larger international specialist business over the next five years while maintaining its premium positioning and strong profitability.

The Role

Based at Cormix International in Bangkok and reporting to senior management, you will take responsibility for developing our international crystalline waterproofing business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Develop and implement country-by-country business development plans.
• Identify and evaluate new international markets.
• Identify, appoint and develop high-quality specialist distributors.
• Work closely with existing distributors to increase sales and market penetration.
• Build relationships with consultants, structural engineers, architects, contractors, ready-mix companies and other specification influencers.
• Identify major construction and infrastructure projects at an early stage.
• Support the specification and technical approval of CONTITE® systems.
• Develop and maintain a qualified international project pipeline.
• Conduct technical presentations, seminars and distributor training.
• Visit projects and provide commercial and technical support alongside Cormix technical specialists.
• Analyse competitors and relevant regional suppliers.
• Develop key reference projects in priority markets.
• Monitor distributor performance against agreed targets and development plans.
• Work with Cormix Technical and R&D teams to respond to market requirements.
• Provide regular reports on sales, project pipeline, specifications, market development and competitive activity.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who combines commercial drive with technical credibility.

The successful candidate should have:

• Experience in construction chemicals, waterproofing, concrete technology, building materials or a related technical construction sector.
• Experience in export sales, international business development or distributor management.
• An understanding of specification-led selling to consultants, engineers and contractors.
• The ability to develop new markets rather than simply service existing customers.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
• Confidence in presenting technical products and solutions.
• The ability to build long-term relationships with distributors and professional specifiers.
• Good analytical and reporting skills.
• A proactive and self-directed working style.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis.

A technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, Materials Science, Chemistry or a related discipline would be advantageous, but is not essential for candidates with strong relevant industry experience.

Experience in waterproofing, concrete admixtures, concrete repair or specialist construction chemicals would be particularly valuable.
