Cormix International is a British-owned manufacturer of specialist construction chemicals, established in Thailand for over 30 years and supplying products to more than 20 international markets.
We specialise in advanced technologies for underground construction, tunnelling, ground improvement, waterproofing, concrete repair and infrastructure.
As part of our continued international expansion, we are seeking an experienced and innovative R&D Chemist to lead the development of new polyurethane and epoxy technologies.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious chemist who wants to make a significant contribution to new product innovation within a dynamic international company.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will take a leading role in research, formulation and commercial development of specialist polymer technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise polyurethane foam, injection resins, gels and related specialist systems.
- Research and formulate epoxy resin technologies for construction and infrastructure applications.
- Lead new product development projects from laboratory concept through testing and commercial production.
- Investigate innovative raw materials and emerging polymer technologies.
- Improve existing formulations to enhance technical performance, quality and cost competitiveness.
- Collaborate with production, technical and commercial teams.
- Provide technical support to customers and international distributors.
- Travel internationally to support product development, technical projects, customers and business expansion.
THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for an experienced chemist with strong practical formulation capabilities and a passion for innovation.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–10 years of relevant industrial R&D experience, preferably including independent formulation development.
- Demonstrated expertise in polyurethane foam/resin technology and/or epoxy resin systems.
- Experience in construction chemicals, industrial resins, adhesives, coatings or other specialist polymer applications.
- Proven ability to develop new formulations and translate laboratory research into commercial products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good English communication skills.
- Willingness to undertake international business travel.
